During a low-scoring contest on Sunday, the Denver Broncos managed to secure a close victory over the struggling New York Jets. Quarterback Bo Nix threw an early touchdown pass and kicker Wil Lutz provided the game-winning go-ahead field goal to secure the hard-fought win.

Defensive Display Seals Game

Despite registering nine sacks against Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos found themselves trailing 11-10 following giving up a two-point play in the third quarter. Interestingly, the Jets could only produce a mere 82 offensive yards during the contest.

The Denver quarterback, who completed 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, engineered a decisive 12-play, 65-yard possession that culminated in Lutz's 27-yard kick with approximately five minutes remaining.

Historic Struggles for Jets Attack

Despite their horrendous performance, the Jets maintained possession with a opportunity to drive for a possible victory. However Fields was sacked on fourth-and-eight from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn opted to go for it rather than calling on specialist Nick Folk for a difficult field-goal attempt.

Fields struggled all game, connecting on just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. The Jets ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the lowest in any game since 1998.

"Our passing game was completely absent," Glenn stated after the contest.
